Zombies!
What’s better than running from zombies? Being a zombie!
Zombies will be on the course, stumbling, chasing, standing, sitting, and crawling. You have the opportunity to be a horrifying Stumbler zombie or a full-action Chaser zombies.
Zombie registration is currently sold out for all of our current U.S. race locations. Please stay tuned to our website, Facebook, and Twitter for announcements.

Here are some things to think about prior to registering:
- When do you want to be a zombie? - You will be able to choose between three different shift times.
- What type of zombie are you? - You can be a fast “Chaser Zombie” or a horrifying “Stumbler Zombie.”
- Is there anyone in particular you’d like to eat brains with? - During registration you will have the opportunity create a zombie group.
The Zombie Horde
The Run For Your Lives Zombie Horde is a special community of zombies who have participated in a Run For Your Lives race as a zombie or are registered to participate as a zombie in a future race. We believe that a lone zombie isn’t much of a threat so it is important that all members of the Zombie Horde work together to capture those runners tasty flags. Teamwork and camaraderie are just as important for the undead as they are for humans so you better come prepared to make a lot of new friends and have one of the most insane days of your life!
What Zombies Receive
Everyone who registers as a zombie will receive the following perks:
Professional Zombie Transformation
Our team of top-notch makeup artists and wardrobe personnel will turn you into a disgusting zombie. The entire transformation process will take about 20 minutes and will be the kick-off to one of the craziest days of your life.
Zombie T-Shirt
All zombies will receive a special Zombie Horde T-Shirt. This Tee has been custom designed for our Zombie Horde and will not be sold or given out anywhere else.
Free Race on Event Day
Every zombie will have the option of racing for free on event day. You will receive a flag belt so you can fully experience what it’s like to switch positions on the food chain.
Apocalypse Pass
You will gain free access to the Apocalypse Party. So once you finish your shift and sign out you can go enjoy the live music, delicious food, refreshing beer, and fun activities.
Camping Pass
All zombies will have the option of camping at night for free. Please just refrain from eating our other campers.
One Free Beverage (Includes Beer)
You will receive one free beverage ticket up finishing your zombie shift. What better way is there to celebrate your inevitable undead victory than by sipping on an ice cold brew.
Snacks and Drinks at the Zombie Transformation Center (ZTC)
The ZTC will be stocked with snacks and drinks all day.
A Race Medal
You’ll have earned it.
Free Parking
All registered zombies will receive free parking on event day.
Please note: You will only receive the above perks upon fulfillment of your zombie duties. Those who do not show up, sign in, complete their shift, follow the rules and sign out will forfeit their right to the perks. Zombies who would like to take advantage of the free race will be given flags but will not be timed and will not be included in official race results. They will also not be eligible for awards.
The Zombie Transformation Center
The ZTC is where our zombies will undergo their full zombie transformation. This transformation includes wardrobe, make up and zombie training. When you leave the ZTC you will officially be a member of The Zombie Horde. You can kiss humanity goodbye, at least for a few hours.
Day of the Event
Zombies will be required to perform on our course during one of three shifts. After a zombies shift, they can enjoy the Apocalypse Party and camping areas for free! Zombies will also have the option of running the race if they want (Zombies that who run the race will not be eligible for prizes or awards).
